The XMAGE Awards 2024 invites Filipino photographers to showcase their creativity and the capabilities of the HUAWEI devices at the XMAGE photography contest and foster a supportive community of mobile photography enthusiasts.

The event seeks to establish itself as a premier platform for recognizing and nurturing talent in mobile photography. By fostering a culture of innovation and artistic expression, Huawei aspires to elevate the standards of mobile photography in the Philippines and beyond.

Here’s how to take part in the contest:

To participate in the local XMAGE Awards this year, individuals must be registered members of the Huawei Community and possess a Huawei ID.

Entrants are required to submit their entries via the designated online portal, adhering to specific guidelines such as using Huawei phones for image and video capture and complying with copyright regulations.

The panel of judges comprises Li Changzhu from HUAWEI Consumer Business Group in China, artist and sculptor Kublai Millan, and Domcar Calinawan Lagto, the Grand Prize Winner of the XMAGE Awards 2023.

The selection process will be judged based on three criteria: Overall Impact (50 percent), which pertains to the overall impression and appeal of the composition; Relevance to the Theme (30 percent), which assesses how precisely the idea behind the composition aligns with the category’s theme; and Originality and Creativity (20 percent), which evaluates the distinctiveness in conceptualization and creativity in the submitted entry. In the event of a tie, judges will deliberate, and both entries will be declared winners, receiving the same prize.

Winners will be notified via registered mail, email, and SMS. Prizes, including the coveted HUAWEI Pura 70 Pro, HUAWEI Sound Joy, and HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 2, will be awarded to the deserving winners.

To join the XMAGE Awards 2024, interested individuals must log in or sign up with their Huawei ID on the Huawei Community platform, post their artwork, then fill out the online registration form with their personal details and submit their entries following the specified guidelines.
