LTO chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza graced the inauguration of the extension office in the City of Naga in southern Cebu.

The facility in Naga is the fifth extension in Region 7 and they are all located in the province of Cebu. The four other extension offices are in Bantayan Island, Camotes Island, Dalaguete town, and Talisay City.

LTO-7 has 33 facilities in Region 7, including 17 district offices, seven licensing offices, three driver’s license renewal offices, and one e-Patrol mobile facility.

Mendoza welcomed the opening of the extension office in Naga whose services include renewal of motor vehicle and motorcycle registrations, new driver’s license, renewal of driver’s license, and processing of student driver’s permit.

“This is part of the order of President Bongbong Marcos and Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista to bring government services closer to the people. This is the main point of ‘Bagong Pilipinas.’ We go around the country and we are giving more government services,” said Mendoza.

Mendoza added that additional extension and satellite offices would reinforce the ongoing full digitalization efforts of the agency.

“Our digitalization efforts, along with our plans to open more satellite and extension offices, would make it easier for the Filipino people to enjoy fast and comfortable services of the LTO,” he said.

Joining Mendoza in the inauguration were LTO-7 Regional Director Glen G. Galario, LTO-7 Assistant Regional Director Engr. Arturo R. Apolinar, and Naga Mayor Val Chiong.

“The opening of the LTO City of Naga Extension Office today is a testament to our continuous efforts and grit to enhance the accessibility and quality of our services. This new office will serve as a beacon of efficiency and customer service excellence in the City of Naga and surrounding areas,” said Galario.

Galario announced that three more LTO offices will open in Central Visayas within the year.

“Our journey of expansion does not end here. I am excited to announce that we are in the final stages of preparations for opening new LTO offices in the municipalities of Alcoy and Consolacion in Cebu province, and in Tubigon in Bohol province. These new offices will significantly reduce the travel time and effort required for our clients to avail themselves of LTO services, further demonstrating our unwavering commitment to improving public service delivery.”

The new LTO office in the City of Naga is located in Barangay East Poblacion where the famous Naga Baywalk and Pasilong sa Naga are also located. It can accommodate up to 150 people in a day and is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
